Koenigsberg/Chojna from just beyond Bernickow/Barnkovo

Bernickow, home of the Schukar ancestors since at least 1653,
lies just east of Koenigsberg, and in fact is now part of this town.
Schukars lived here in Koenigsberg since early times as well, and up
until all the Germans were expelled in 1945.
