Immanuel Lutheran Church
"The River Church"

After the building of a brick church for the upper congregation in 1867 in Town Herman, the present brick (River) church was built in 1883 at a cost of $4,858.84 (including bells).
In 1885, a separate school with a teacherage was built. This is the present limestone structure which stands south of the church.
