Gransee was the birthplace of Theodor Wichmann, who studied in
Germany to be a pastor, and then came to the US in 1848 and served in
Cincinnati for many years. In Cincinnati he married Emilie Wichmann,
his cousin and older sister of Louise Wichmann (Ottmann).
