Gustav wrote the chronicle that is the source of most of the information about this family. He was a teacher and organist who served at several places, including Doebern and Friedheim in Wirsitz, and was also in the military.

    Theodor arrived in the U.S., 27 May 1883 on the German ship America, traveling with Ernstina Beyer Alszewski Radke, wife of his uncle Gustav Radke, and Ernstina's daughter Anna. He lived with a Proehl family in Augusta, Wisconsin, where he was confirmed in 1885. He graduated from the St. Louis, Mo., seminary in 1894, served 1 year in Connecticut in a mission. Served St. Peter's Lutheran Church in St. Louis, Tower Grove area; 1901 moved to St. Paul's, Indianapolis, then served daughter congregation, Emmaus. In 1911, he went to Zion, Cleveland; served there till his death.

      After attending Fort Wayne Concordia College, he transferred to law school at Western Reserve in Cleveland; worked as an attorney in Cleveland. No children.
