DENISON ANCESTORS

The Denison family, who came to the colonies on the Lyon in 1631, is well documented. Much can be found about them with an internet search, including

containing databases of the research of many genealogists.

The page here deals only with the family of Dan Denison, born 1771 in Saybrook, Connecticut, and his wife Sarah "Sally" Bushnell, born 1774 in Winthrop, Connecticut.

My first source of information about this family were some typed pages given to me in the 1960's by one of my husband's aunts who had been pursuing possible membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution. Using that information as a basis for further research, here is information about the descendants of Dan and Sarah (Bushnell) Denison. Sources include the Denison Genealogy by Glenn E. Denison, and on-line census, birth, death and marriage records.
